Zoning has been allowed for Chicago Tiny House build.
As of Friday, December 6, 2019 Chicago Tiny House has permission from the Department of Planing and Development.
It is with excitement and thankfulness, after steady perseverance and dedication that i’d like to announce that the department of planning and development and Chicago Tiny House have reached an agreement and can now build Tiny Houses to support our project.
We are so excited to be able to bring Tiny Houses to Chicago and the homeless veterans that need them.
Thank you for all your help getting this accomplished.
Chicago Tiny House Has Approval to Build !!!!!
It is with great pleasure that I write to all our supporters to say Chicago Tiny House, as of 2 weeks ago, has obtained written consent to build in Chicago.
What does this mean? It means that we can finally prepare to build anywhere within the city limits that we can find land.
Now the only drawback is that we have to finance the project ourselves. This means that the city has no funds to fund the project. I like to tell you that this will not hinder our project one bit.
We put our project together with the assumption that we would have to self fund the project.
What do we need now to move ahead? We need you !!! We need your support, your professionalism, and your donations.
We need to raise $175,000.00 to build our project. I know its a lot of money but if we group together we can make this happen in no time. We also need to form fundraising teams and program support teams so our idea is to use the new few Chicago Tiny House meetings to discuss this.
So I’d like to personally invite you to our first build meeting on: 12/19/2019 at 7 PM to be held at:
920 West Wilson Avenue
Chicago, IL 60640
Please come and give your ideas or input – I cant wait to see you all there.
